Art festival of Swayam Special children arranged as part of the World Red Cross week

Branch runs a school for special children known as Swayam School. To enhance the capabilities, confidence, creativity and self reliance a "Swayam Arts Festival" of paintings by these children from 13th May to 15th May, 2023 were exhibited. Office bearers, school staff were present. Local authorities and media showered accolades.

On 8th May 2023 on the occasion of World Red Cross Day the bust of Founder Sir Jean Henry Dunant was garlanded at the hands of Shri. Shriniwas Malu, Chairman. Importance of Red Cross day was highlighted by Ar. Satishraj Jagdale Hon.Secretary, IRCS Kolhapur District Branch executive committee members & Swayam special school staff were present. Further a blood donation camp was organised on 9th May 2023 by Rajarshi Shahu Blood Centre at Mai Hyundai showroom Kolhapur and 45 blood unit collected. Kolhapur District Branch adopts 50 tuberculosis patients

On 23rd January 2023 Indian Red Cross Society, Kolhapur District Branch adopted 50 tuberculosis patients. District Collector Hon’ble Shri Rahul Rekhawar distributed nutritional kits at Chhatrapati Shahuji Dalan, Collector's Office and appreciated the decision of "Red Cross". On this occasion District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. U G Kumbhar, Hon. Secretary of Kolhapur Red Cross Ar.
