Thalassemia awareness program organized
(24th April 2025)
On 24 April 2025 a thalassemia awareness program was organized by Indian Red Cross Society Latur District Branch in association with IMA & WDW (Woman Doctors Wing) Latur and Latur Obstetric & Gynecological Society at Latur Red Cross. Total 33 patients including pregnant women and pre-marriage age were given free thalassemia screening tests. Members of Latur Red Cross, IMA Latur and Latur Obstetric & Gynecological Society were present on the occasion.

World Health Day celebrated on 7th April 2025

On 7th April 2025 on the occasion of World Health Day a poster making competition was organised by IRCS Latur District Branch in collaboration with Harshada Art Gallery, Latur. Total 40 students participated. Dr. Yogesh Gavasane – BTO, IRCS, Latur was present on the occasion.

World Autism Day observed on 2nd April 2025

On 2nd April 2025 on the occasion of World Autism Day an awareness program was organized by IRCS Latur District Branch in collaboration with Sant Tukaram Primary School, Latur. Ms. Richa Agarwal – Principal, Sant Tukaram Primary School was the Chief Guest. Dr. Rita Naik (Chavan) – Psychiatrist conducted the session.

World Tuberculosis Day observed on 24th March 2025

On 24th March 2025 World Tuberculosis Day was observed by Indian Red Cross Society Latur District Branch in collaboration with District Tuberculosis Department by organizing an awareness rally at Latur. Total 80 students of New Vision Nursing School, Latur participated.

Eye donation camp

On 16th March 2025 eye donation camp was organised by IRCS Latur District Branch. Total 40 people registered by filling up the consent form for eye donation.

SEWA PAKHWADA CELEBRATED FROM 17TH SEPT. 2023 TO 2ND OCT 2023

Blood donation drives organised by IRCS Dr Bhalchandra Blood Centre, Latur in various places during the Sewa Pakhwada held from the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi-ji on 17th September 2023 to Mahatma Gandhiji’s birthday on 2nd October 2023 also covered the national voluntary blood donation day organised on 1st October 2023 every year. Total 198units collected.

World Red Cross Day celebrated on 8th May, 2023

On 8th May 2023 on the occasion of World Red Cross Day IRCS Latur District Branch inaugurated the six couches blood collection van donated by IRCS, National Headquarters, New Delhi / Canadian Red Cross with the support of Maharashtra State Branch by Hon’ble Collector & District Magistrate Shri B. P. Prithviraj (IAS) in presence of office bearers and staff of Latur Red Cross.
